Trump to Oberhelman: ‘I love Caterpillar.’
PEORIA — President Donald Trump shared his enthusiasm for Caterpillar Inc. tractors Thursday at the White House, but reports that the administration's infrastructure spending plan may be delayed sent the company's stock lower.
In a brief exchange with Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar's recently retired CEO and chairman of its board of directors through the end of March, Trump touted the company's largest bulldozer, the D11, and said he looked forward to an even bigger D12. "I love Caterpillar. I've been driving them for a long time," Trump said to Oberhelman and about two dozen other executives from manufacturing companies convened to discuss economic issues. Source
